You can check out the attached link and look for lots 34, 35, 37, 38 and 43 they are less money and are enforced starting at 8:00 AM. There is also street parking available.
Both Races start and finish on the beach just north of Pier 60, on Clearwater Beach. This race is run on a low tide so the beach section will be mostly flat and firm. Race route is north on the beach for both races. The 5k will turn around just after the first aid station. The 10 mile race will continue up the beach another 3 miles to the second aid station, where the runners will be routed off of the beach via a sandy service road. The service road will lead you to the Island interior and the beginning of the trail head. The Island trail section is about 2.25 miles long and winds through a hammock of hardwoods eventually leading you back to a shell service road that will take you back to the beach. The final 3.1 miles is back down the beach to the Pier for a fast finish.
Once you get off the beach on Caladesi Island the trail will be marked with Orange flags and tape to keep you on course. Volunteers on the Island will help guide you as well.
Aid Stations: There are three aid station set up on the course. First aid station is just before the turn around of the 5K. The second aid station is on the beach on Caladesi Island about 4.5 miles from the race start. Third aid station is on the trail after Cats Eye Pond on Caladesi Island at about 6.7 miles. The first aid station will serve as the last aid station for the 10 mile race as you will pass it on the way to the finish at 8.5 miles. Aid station 1 will just have water only while the others will have water and Gatorade.
Facilities: There are restrooms at the Pier 60 Concessions and across the street at Clearwater Marina which will be open at 6:00 AM for pre and post race. During the 10 mile race there are Bathhouse/Bathroom facilities on Caladesi Island should you need them. They are located just off the service road as soon as you get to the Island interior which you will pass around mile 5.
This is a chip timed race. Race Results will be posted at the finish and on Cool Running.com within a few days of the event. Both 5K and 10 mile finishers will receive custom finisher medals. They are hand made by a local artist
