Two-dozen scholarships for 2013 seniors
Athletic performance and the right attitude towards study and life are the key ingredients to be nominated for a scholarship of this runners club. The 2013 program has -once again- broken new records and shows with 24 outstanding seniors from Pinellas high-schools proof that there is a bright future for track and cross country in this part of Florida.
The students of 12 high-schools involved, got a $ 2000 scholarship, which gives them a great start at their upcoming collegiate career. The scholarship committee, Mary Pulaski, Mary Grace Ritter, Skip Rogers, Allison Kallevig, Kathleen Roach and Michael Patterson were exited about their performance and the way they handle academics as well as other skills. "Fantastic kids, they really deserve it". said scholarship chairman Mary Pulaski.
Proceeds of the Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot funded the scholarships. More photo's in the 2013 July issue of "Making Tracks"
